In Erman Textile’s sock manufacturing process, we use both kinds of yarns, either by mixing them or using them individually according to customer demands.
If a customer requests high durability with high performance, then we need to compromise on softness since we use polyester-polyamide mixtures.
If a customer requests more comfort, coziness, and naturality, we use organic cotton yarns, which require a compromise on durability.
Additionally, yarn choice plays a significant role in the final product's cost. Cotton yarn is more expensive, leading to higher sock production costs. However, this does not mean polyester yarns are cheap. In polyester yarns, density plays a crucial role in quality—determining whether the material retains odors due to sweat or remains soft.
If we use high-density polyester yarns, prices also increase. However, this results in a high-quality product with excellent durability.
